I recently observed a couple of Realtor owned homes for sale priced at over a million dollars. One was priced at 2.1 million until last week when the owner slashed $200,000 off the ask.  The other Realtor owned home I saw was priced around 1.3 million.

Of course I have no way of knowing why these Realtors are selling and it really isn’t any of my business (or yours), but if I were to guess, I would say that they are feeling the pinch (who isn’t in this business?)

We have one REO listed that, according to my agent who listed it, was owned by a Realtor who purchased it for around $53k then refinanced it later for around $180k and then lost it (or gave it) to the bank.  Current ask price is $129,900.
