The Fresno Bee reported yesterday that the county has spent more than four years on a proposal to hike building fees.  According to the article “the county fee for a house in unincorporated Fresno County generally would be $4,399. In Fresno, the fee would be $3,357. The fee would be added to other development fees charged by other agencies.”

Painful perhaps, but probably necessary.
