Today’s breaking news about Spitzer and The Emperor’s Club had me googling for more info. I suck at google. *I dont know how it is that everybody else seems to be able to find these websites they report in the news. I rarely do. What I did find was a movie that I havent seen, but would very much like to: The Emperor’s Club. I’m going to put it in my Blockbuster que and hope that I get a chance to see it before I cancel my service (do to the recession of course!).
I also read today that most Americans don’t read political blogs. No surprise there. My own kids are so ambivalent its pathetic. I have 5 sons over the age of Military Registration and I dont think a one of them gives a flip about politics. I’m not even sure I will be able to persuade them to join the Ponkeyderm Party. (in case you don’t know the Ponkeyderm is a cross between the Pachyderm and a Donkey).
*after more googling I found that the Emperor’s Club website has been taken down. Go here for screen captures of the site.

I love the film! Oh, about the politics thing. I think that youth is much more into politics on the east coast. My eldest daughter went to college in Boston, across from the Boston Commons and she is very politically aware. My other daughter went to college at UOP and there is much less emphasis on politics there.

Oh, what does “your comment is awaiting moderation” mean?

Gayle,
Glad to hear your daughters are not political “deadbeats” like my sons.
Our freedom is taken for granted by my kids. If they initiated the draft…would they would suddenly all become political activist?

Gayle,
after a comment is left an email is forwared to me which informs me of the same. Then I am able to approve, delete,or mark as spam the comment.
Unfortunately not all comments are the kind you want. In fact, I get more spam than anything else – which from what I gather is just others who are commenting on my posts in order to ride my click ratings and drive attention to THEIR site. Oddly, the biggest offenders have been car companies. However lately I notice I have been getting less spam. Perhaps its because I’m vigilant in catching it to begin with. Who knows?
