Greetings people of Fresno;

Reading the 10/19/09 article, "Memo Prompts a Fresno Medical Marijuana Dispensary to Re-Open", left me asking myself why would educated city leader(s) and a presumably informed and impartial judge choose to ban medical marijuana dispensaries in their geographic area of influence/jurisdiction? Did our revered democratic process not indicate the will of the majority? If one reasons potential conflict-of-interest as motivation behind the ban, one might borrow from the Greek and, "Follow the money." To accuse any cities leaders of corruption is, in 2009, to stereotype. To accuse a judge of monetary corruption, is an entirely different matter, not to be done without solid evidence. In looking to the root of a judge(s) ruling, without aforementioned solid evidence one may be left questioning the involvement of ego. To admit the validity of marijuana as a therapeutic agent, is to question the ethics of past rulings.
Food for thought, ask a friend or a person suffering from illness you may happen to know, what they think on this issue.
I wish all of the readers of this post a life free of unnecessary pain, despair and suffering!

Sincerely,
a native son with tourette syndrome,
