Home prices fall 0.3% in August, FHFA says – MarketWatch.

Yesterday a PG&E service man installed a smart meter on our electrical and I told my wife it I thought they already put one on few  months ago.

Our bill month before last was GINORMOUS.  If we can’t get our utilities under control we wont be able to, or wont want to live in this home.

Look here!  Al Jazeera in reporting on Fresno.  You might suspect that Al Jazeera’s reporting might have a political slant, but dont let that keep you from reading their news.  Heck, I have them book marked.  You can be certain that they are in better financial shape then the ever shrinking Fresno Bee and McClatchy.

The way things are going if news sources find themselves under water and have to sell, the arabs might be the only ones with money and INTEREST in purchasing them.

RealtyTrac found that more than 925,000 borrowers received a foreclosure filing, which can range from a default notice to a bank repossession, between July and September. That is up 23 percent from the comparable period last year.

You have heard of “Toxic Assets.” They are those assets on the banks books that fit this definition”

Let me preface this video with some banking 101. When you put 1,000 in the bank you have an ASSET on your books. But, when the bank has your $1000.00 it now has a LIABILITY = the bank is now liable to return your money with interest. What the bank does with your money is loan it out with interest. Once the bank loans out your money, the money lent then becomes an ASSET on the banks books. That is, the borrower is now LIABLE to pay back the bank with interest.

Imagine now loaning out money for these homes. It would not surprise me if the banks loaned out tens of thousands of dollars for these homes. Little wonder why the banks are not in a rush to foreclose on some of these homes.
